Projects and Initiatives

Student Assistant—Samuel Beckett Letters Project

Emory University, Aug. 2018 – Aug. 2020  

  • Collaborated with the Emory Center for Digital Scholarship on an initiative to make over 16,000 letters accessible to researchers in a database with interactive annotations. 
  • Performed research throughout the data-tagging process to identify people and entities referenced in the playwright’s personal and professional correspondence. Wrote short descriptions and biographical blurbs for newly verified mentions.    

Student Researcher—Georgia Civil Rights Cold Cases/NPR Buried Truths

Emory University, Atlanta, GA, Sept. 2018 – Dec. 2018 

  • Investigated the 1962 police killing of A.C. Hall in Macon, GA as part of the Civil Rights Cold Cases project directed by journalist Hank Klibanoff at Emory University.
  • Involved in the research and development stages of the corresponding season of Buried Truths, the Peabody and Edward R. Murrow award-winning NPR podcast based on the cold case initiative.
